I’ve watched Muslims pray Asr, Buddhists kowtow before golden Buddhas, and Taoists leave snack cakes on the altar of their chosen deity. I’ve seen dragon boats move like water striders across Chinese lakes and I’ve sung Queen on karaoke night. In South Florida, I watched the Bush Garden fireworks every night for an entire summer while I sat on the hood of my truck thinking about God. I’ve jumped from a plane and eaten pancakes with a rocket scientist. I’ve thrown shells in the ocean as I watched the sun set on a deserted island. I worked as a Southern Baptist minister before coming to China to be an ESL teacher. I have since continued my writing and look forward to publishing more Young Adult novels. As for who I really am, I enjoy good coffee, saltwater fish keeping, canoeing, quiet places, good friends, and my wife Jessica.
